Database of State Incentives for Renewable and Efficient Energy

I was looking around for a refridgerator that would run on direct current, so it might run directly from solar or wind power. I got side tracked, and was looking at complete systems that are tied into the grid, which in effect sells your extra solar or wind energy back to the power company, and makes your meter run backwards. If your power usage is low enough, they may even end up owing you money.

At the bottom of the page was a link which said "Your state may pay for all or part of the cost of this conversion." I clicked on it, and this is where it took me:

It has a map of the United States on the page. Just click on your state, and it will tell you what kind of financial incentives are available to you in your area for doing the right thing. They may even pay for the whole works. You'll never know unless you look.

Even the most greedy bone headed corporate stooge politicians are starting to admit that renewable energy used efficiently is crucial to the survival of this country, and possibley the world. It's no longer just being said by us crazy hippies (who have been trying to tell you this for years).
